    Hi,

do somebody have any experience with rendering images to higher resolitions up to 6000 (10000) x 5000? Can you specify the process, please?

We´ve got the error log "can´t create bitmap" .

    Well, what can we do?

    Thank you.

I agree, the V-Ray Frame Buffer may be you only choice or render strips...

that error message you are getting is what happens when you set max's output resolution to high. to get around this you have to turn on the bitmap pager in preferences. this allows max to render large images and save out portions to disk as it is rendering so it doesn't have to store a huge file in memory as it renders.

I would suggest using the vrimg format instead since this format writes to disk as it renders so it doesn't waste any memory on storing the rendered image. I've used it a lot recently and its worked like a charm each time. you will have to convert the vrimg to exr using the conversion program chaos wrote but its not a big deal.

          good luck

            Thanks a lot!

            Uau,

thank you guys! It does work!!! It depends on bitmap pager already. I just try out V-Ray frame buffer instead of Max´s now. I suppose that it will be works fine too.

            Thank you very much again,
            best regards.
